With a few days to the end of July, Sony has finally revealed the lineup of free games available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America and Europe for the month of August. As usual another six free games will be spread across three different platforms: the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

There are two games per platform but one of the Vita?s two games is a Cross-Buy title also available on PS4 and PS3; this gives both of those platforms three freebies this month.

PlayStation 4

According to the PlayStation Blog, PS4 players will get the upcoming Weird Games? physics-based puzzler Tricky Towers. The game looks almost like a competitive version of Tetris where players try to stack tetrominoes as high as they can, but there are also some magic spells to make things more exciting. Apparently the multi-player game can allow a total of four players and they can cast spells to disrupt your opponents.

The other title is Rebel Galaxy. The space trading and combat simulation game from developer Double Damage allows players to explore the galaxy in a ship while transporting cargo and fighting off pirates. The 2015 title is quite popular among its dedicated fanbase.

PlayStation 3

Those on PS3 gets Yakuza 5, the most recent entry in the series to launch in the West, since it was only just released in late 2015 for North American platforms. The Japanese open world action-adventure video game from Sega is one of the biggest release for the August line-up of free PS Plus games.

PS3 will also get Retro/Grade, a side-scrolling shoot-em-up game where the player is traveling backward through time.

PS Vita

PlayStation Plus members on Sony?s handheld game console have Patapon 3 to look forward to in addition to the cross platform game Ultraton.

Since the Ultraton is a multi-platform game, PS4 and PS3 gamers will also get this title for free.

The full lineup will be available starting Tuesday, August 2. You have until then to claim July’s PlayStation Plus games before their download window expires.

You can also take advantage of the PlayStation Plus Specials this week which include discounts on Season Passes for Minecraft: Story Mode, Star Wars Battlefront, Battleborn and more.
