The month of July is a very interesting one for all PS Plus subscribers. Not only that they were able to download free games of the month, the lineup itself is the most interesting bit.
PS Plus subscribers in North America and Europe were lucky enough to get a collection of entertaining games for July. The first of which is Telltale’s Game of Thrones while for a bit more suspense, Until Dawn is also available on the PS4.
For August, many gamers are pinning their hopes that Sony will continue to provide quality free games for the subscription program. That said, we have come up with an entire list of possible games that might end up in the PS Plus August 2017 lineup.
PS Plus games for the PS4
For the main console, the first thing on the list is Mad Max. When this game was released a couple of years ago, not a lot of gamers knew how good a game this is. In fact, it has received generally positive reviews from various critics in the gaming industry. However, since it was released at the same week as Konami’s Metal Gear Solid, it inevitable got shoved to one side.
In reality, this open-world, post-apocalyptic action adventure game is pretty entertaining. Players assume the role of the survivalist Max Rockatansky as he scavenges for materials and fuel for his Magnum Opus.
Next on the PS4 for PS Plus August 2017 lineup is Gravity Rush Remastered. This psychedelic action-adventure game was developed by Project Siren in cooperation with SCE Japan Studio. The game was released back in 2012. And in late 2016, the same studio released the sequel for the same console. Having the game in the list will surely perk up all gamers and they might even want to get the sequel too.
PS3 and cross buys
For much older systems, the first game players want to be added to the list is Rayman Legends. The best thing about this game is that it exists on all console versions. Whether you are using a PS Vita of a PS3, this game is a sure hit.
Rayman Legends is a highly entertaining platformer that will appeal to gamers of all ages. Depending on how you play the game, there can be as much as four individual players at the same time. The game features more than 120 levels including 40 from the original game.
Meanwhile, for something more PS3-centric, Sony could add Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 1. Since Sony already made season two of the same game title available on the PS4 many months ago, having the first season on the older console will be quite interesting. Similar to the second season on the PS4, the first season is also action-based and decision based. Each decision you make in the game will affect the ending.
It has been nine months since Sony released the PSVR. While many are still hopeful that at some point, the company will include a free game for the device, it might still be far from happening. However, there are rumors circulating about a possible PSVR game inclusion for August 2017.
The game in question is Trackmania Turbo. Although this game is technically a PS4 game, it does include a VR gaming mode. Trackmania Turbo was released back in early 2016 and the latest update has added a VR gameplay for those who own the headset.
If Sony includes this in the lineup, it will be serve as the precedence of more VR games to come.
