Prison Break Season 5 Cast And Release Updates: Filming Almost Done, Airing Sooner Than Expected?

By on

The long wait might nearly be over. Fans of the much anticipated Prison Break Season 5 can now prepare themselves for the revival show. Though nothing has been revealed about the exact airing date of the show, hints have been dropped that suggest an earlier release of the series.

This after the official Twitter account of the writers of Prison Break posted a tweet that the filming of the fifth season is now less than two weeks away from over. Thus, making everyone going gaga for the next update about Prison Break Season 5, hoping that the premiere happens soon.

It should be noted that the production of the show began in April with some of the scenes being filmed at Vancouver and Morocco. The short shooting time of the series might be attributed to the number of episodes the fifth installment will be producing. We have already reported that it will only air nine episodes for the entire season.

Meanwhile, while rumors loom about Robert Knepper?s absence in Prison Break Season 5, writers of the show have bared it once and for all that T-Bag will be present in some episodes of the forthcoming series. Who?s T-Bag? Just to refresh us, this character has psychopathic leanings, however his weird and fearsome acts looks to be not a concern in the fifth installment.

In case you missed it, we have already reported that Lincoln will be tasked to find his brother, Michael, who happens to be jailed in Yemen. He will plan to bolt Michael out of the detention cell after the latter worked with a terrorist group.

Just a recap for the cast members, by now we are all aware that Miller, Purcell, Callies and Knepper will all be returning to the franchise series. They will be joined by Amaure Nolasco, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein.

However, the sad news which we had already released before is that William Fichtner will not be reprising his role as Alexander Mahone in the series. While the actor did not elaborate on why he couldn?t do Prison Break Season 5, it is quite obvious that his schedule is so tight as he is also part of Independence Day: Resurgence, as well as anew TV show, Shooter.

Just like other upcoming TV shows, Prison Break will be present in the San Diego Comic Con. So, expect that a lot of revelations might be uncovered during the event. And to those who are planning to go to SDCC, better prepare your cameras as Wentworth Miller, Knepper and Sarah Wayne Callies will all be attending the convention.
