?Prison Break? Season 5 Wraps Up Filming For 2017 Premiere

Prison Break season 5 is expected to finish production in a week and will be ready to make its return in 2017. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the next season of the popular series and it will only be a matter of time before we get to see another exciting serial drama from Fox.

The Prison Break season 5 release date was announced on Twitter by the official account of the Prison Break writers. It mentioned of a Spring 2017 release and will have 9 episodes airing on Fox on Tuesdays.

Previous reports have indicated that the original release of the next season was supposedly this September but ?filming constraints? have forced Fox to move it next year. The production of Prison Break season 5 started in April and was able to shoot in locations such as Vancouver and Canada.

The promotional Prison Break season 5 trailer revealed a lot of familiar faces including T-Bag (Robert Knepper), Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar), and Congressman Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein).

The much-anticipated series also looks to make a new run with the return of our favorite character Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell). Sarah Wayne Callies is also expected to return as Sara Tancredi. And though T-Bag and Sara Tancredi was shown in the trailer, details are still unclear on their storylines.

On the other hand, Agent Alexander Mahone is also rumored to be returning for the next season. There is still no official details on the the character returning or if William Fichtner will be reprising his role, but his return could give them a big boost.

Though the series has already finished production, fans are already speculating that there will be a season 6.
