Nineteen years after Princess Diana?s death, a new revelation surfaces in a memoire?written by Ken Wharfe, her former bodyguard. The most beloved princess? confidante, Wharfe, debunked rumors that Prince Harry?s real father is James Hewitt.
?For one thing, the dates do not add up,? he explained as reported by The Sun. ?Harry was born on September 15, 1984, which means he was conceived around Christmas 1983, when his brother, William, was 18 months old. Diana did not meet James Hewitt until the summer of 1986.?
He went on to explain that Prince Harry?s red hair is of course, a Spencer trait as can be explained by anyone who has ever seen a photograph of Jane, Diana?s sister.
The rumors had angered the princess greatly and was believed to have been spread by people claiming to be Charles? friends. ?She didn?t usually care what lies Charles? friends told about her, but if anyone turned on her sons, it wounded her deeply.?
In his book, Wharf speaks out about Princess Diana?s alleged affair with Hewitt, a?former household cavalry officer. Prince Charles has always made it known publicly that Camilla Parker-Bowles is the love of his life. Diana had confided to Wharfe that after Harry was born, or perhaps even earlier, Charles had begun to see Parker-Bowles again.
Princess Diana felt betrayed
?Shattered by her husband’s betrayal, the Princess was ready for an affair. Hewitt, a natural womanizer, gave her the attention and affection she relished, and then the passion she yearned for,? Wharf said.
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles may have been married for over 10 years now, but almost 2 decades after Diana?s death, and the Duchess of Cornwall can?t seem to get out of the late princess? shadow.
Prince Harry on the other hand has never spoken out about the paternal rumors, but he has recently shared regrets on how he dealt with his mom?s death, saying that it?s OK to suffer, as long as you talk about it.
?It is not a weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognizing it and not solving that problem.?
