BBC has just released the first ever promo trailer for Poldark Season 2. Seeing the titular character Ross Poldark smacking George Warleggan (Jack Farthing) makes viewers from the first season happy. Fans will be happier to know that the betterment of Cornwall could soon be placed in the hands of Ross after his father died. As a leader, he would keep his focus on resurrecting everything.

A simple punch seen from the trailer of the second installment could only mean that Ross has become more aggressive. He could finally step up and perhaps lead Cornwall. And it looks like he?s not letting Warleggan go without a fight.

In Poldark Season 1, he was arrested for murder. Viewers could eventually learn from the next season how Ross was able to prove his innocence.

The last episode also showed Ross returning to Cornwall. He learned that his father passed away and that his mines were in trouble. He kept his head high and displayed the true qualities of a good leader.

Poldark Season 2 updates suggest that the upcoming season will be based on the third and fourth novels by author Winston Graham. In the books, an outrageous sequence between Ross and Elizabeth took place. Heida Reeds? character is the former wife of the main protagonist.

Viewers could also expect to see new characters. One of them could be John Nettles who will be playing the role of Ray Penvenen. Based on the books, Ray is a rich landowner.

Turner, Reed and Eleanor Tomlinson are sure to be back to reprise their roles for the highly anticipated second season of Poldark. As early as now, the show?s third season has already been confirmed. It has been stated that Turner will also return for Season 3. However, no announcements have been made if the rest of the cast have also signed on for the third installment.

Fans certainly have one more season to see most of the cast when Poldark Season 2 premiers on September 4, 2016.
