Poldark Season 2 Spoilers: Poldark Faces Hanging In U.S. Premiere Episode 1; Actor Hints Poldark Will Die

By on

Poldark Season 2 is set to premiere in the United States this weekend. Prior to the release, several spoilers have already come up on the internet. One of those states that lead character Ross Poldark might die in the installment. How true is that?

In a recent interview with Grimmy of BBC Radio 1, Aiden Turner (Ross Poldark) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza) talked about the upcoming season. He mentioned how challenging it was for them to not shoot scenes chronologically. It keeps them on their toes he added. But, what surprised the fans was when he mentioned something about his character?s death.

?It?s a bit odd. You die tomorrow, Wednesday you get married,? said Turner. Of course, fans were shocked after hearing this. They wanted to know more whether or not the statement is true. Shortly after his statement, Turner said that he is taking his statement back. ?To the best of my knowledge, I don?t die,? he said.

Clearly, the viewers are glad to know that Ross Poldark is not going to die. But if ever, it seems like he will pass away inside the prison. It can be recalled that the character is captured to face the law regarding the riots that took place last season. When Poldark Season 2 premieres, Ross will say ?They cannot hang me!?

Obviously, he will not die in the first episode. But, if Turner?s slip of tongue is precise, then he probably will die within the second season. As of now, he is still alive up to the fourth episode of the series, as presented by the installment?s trailer released in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, new characters will also be introduced in the series. John Nettles is added in the cast as Ray Penvenen. Gabriella Wilde will also be present in the second season as Ray?s heiress niece Caroline. Lastly, viewers will see Hugh Skinner as Unwin Trevaunance.

As for now, Ross is still facing the law for the troubles back in the first season. It is yet to be revealed who will save him. It could be his wife Demelza, or his brother Francis Poldark (Kyle Soller).

Poldark Season 2 will premiere Sunday, September 25 on WCVE PBS and WHTJ PBS at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. It will then continue every Sunday at 9 p.m. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
