Alola offers players the chance to get a handful of new Pokemon as it introduces a lot of new creatures to collect. The most prized Pokemon are, of course, the cover Pokemon. In the case of the upcoming title, those are Solgaleo and Lunaala. But how can players get Solgaleo and Lunaala in Pokemon Sun and Moon?
As revealed from the leaks before, both Solgaleo and Lunaala have pre-evolutions. This is a first in the series as past Legendaries don’t have pre-evoutions. The two Legendaries from Alola evolve from a Pokemon called Cosmog. Once again, new leaks have surfaced, and we now know how to get the actual Legendaries in the game.
Redditor Falva stated what the actual steps are in getting Cosmog in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Like in Pokemon X and Y, the Legendaries are part of the main story. In the previous entries, players can get Yvetal and Xerneas simply by progressing with the story. In Sun and Moon, players can get the Legendaries in the main story but they can also get them by evolving Cosmog:
- Need to have completed the story and become the champion.
- Go back to the Altar of Sunne
- Enter the portal
- Go to the Lake of the Moon
- Go to the top onto the platform
- a cutscene will start and you will be able to add Cosmog to your party/box.
Cosmog will later on evolve into Cosmoem. After that, players will get either Solgaleo or Lunaala depending on what game they have.Players who want to complete the Pokedex will definitely need to do this.
Back with Pokemon X and Y, players will come across Yvetal and Xerneas past the half-part of the game. It?s good that Game Freak is making Solgaleo and Lunaala as a possible?post-game content as it?ll make Sun and Moon?s Legendaries feel a lot more special and sought after.
