Pokemon Sun and Moon

There are many gaming companies looking to take the stage at this year?s Gamescom, and one of them is Nintendo. Nintendo has a lot lined up for this year and the next, and there?s a lot to expect from their panel. All eyes will probably be on Pokemon Sun and Moon. Fans are expecting more gameplay trailers, but they have no idea what Nintendo and Game Freak will reveal this time around. Here?s what to expect from Pokemon Sun and Moon at Gamescom 2016.

More Alola Forms

The recent trailers for the upcoming Pokemon title introduced different versions of gen 1 favorites called Alola forms. Not only do Alola look different from the original, but they have different stats as well. There?s more than a hundred more gen 1 Pokemon that don?t have an Alola form, and fans can expect to see more of them at Gamescom.

More Gen 7 Pokemon

Pokemon Sun and Moon will introduce the next gen of Pokemon, and there?s a lot of them we?ve seen already. If the leaks are true, the amount of currently revealed Pokemon is not even half of the entire gen 7 roster. We?ve still yet to see if the next title will have new Eeveelutions, as there are several other types in which Eevee can?t evolve to yet. The fossil Pokemon for this gen hasn?t been revealed yet as well.

More Gameplay Footages

Game Freak is upping their game with Pokemon Sun and Moon, and it will have a ton of new features. The previous trailers focused on how the world of Alola will look like and how players could traverse the region and its islands. There isn?t much of an overhaul to the battle system aside from Z-moves as well. Fans can expect to see more of Alola in Gamescom and even get a chance to see all of the islands then.

Livestream

Nintendo?s Pokemon Sun and Moon Gamescom 2016 livestream will start on August 18 at 17:00 CEST. The battle director of the game, Shigeki Morimoto, will showcase the title onstage. You can watch the stream here.
