Two major Pokemon games are getting their remakes on the 3DS. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemnon Alpha Sapphire. Both games were released back in 2003, in GameBoy Advanced and GameBoy SP handheld consoles. These two popular games will be back in 3DS, with a new region called Hoenn and rich addition of new monsters to catch.

Here?s the exact announcement, Nintendo made, for the upcoming titles:

?Announcing Pok?mon Omega Ruby and Pok?mon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pok?mon!

Pok?mon fans first enjoyed Pok?mon Ruby Version and Pok?mon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pok?mon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pok?mon Omega Ruby and Pok?mon Alpha Sapphire.?

This was, without any doubt, a smart move from Nintendo. The remakes of the already award-winning games can actually help Nintendo get back in the ?game? a bit. Nintendo had their third ?consecutive? annual operating loss, and Pokemon X and Y were the titles that helped Nintendo hold things together, while they struggle with the very bad sales.

So what can we expect with the remakes of the classic Pokemon games? Most probably, they will have an overhauled gameplay. You could expect something similar to the more recent Pokemon games, Pokemon X and Y. Hoenn will also look ?grander? than before, but that is certainly a given. Some Pokemons will also have their ?Mega Forms?. It is not a grain of salt, considering the chances of having this feature implemented, and the better question to ask is, which Pokemon will get their Mega Evolutions.

Not much information has been revealed regarding the games? additional features, or how they will look like exactly, but there?s a high chance that these games will also make their way on Nintendo?s Nintendo Direct edition of the E3 2014 event. The games are set to be released in November this year.
