Today is the fated day when 100 more Pokemon are expected to drop in Niantic?s augmented reality title. There are a lot of Pokemon to lookout for if the anticipated major Pokemon GO update does drop and players might even have a hard time figuring out where to start. Since there are a lot of gen 2 Pokemon to catch but there are quite a few to lookout for first.
Gen 1 Evolutions
If gen 2 does drop today, there will be quite a few gen 1 Pokemon that are going to get next level evolutions. As early as now, it?s recommended to stock up on Candies from Onyx, Zubat, Poliwag, Slowpoke, Oddish, Scyther, Eevee, Chansey, Porygon and Chansey. The next evolution of these gen 1 creatures are definitely more powerful than their predecessors and with enough Candy, they?ll be easy to get from the start of gen 2.
When the Pokemon GO patch featuring the new Pokemon arrives, there are bound to be a few overpowered Pokemon along the way. Niantic will definitely take a few updates before it rebalances the game, but before that, there will be some Pokemon worth getting. Some players report that Heracross, Houndoom and Tyranitar are going to be tough Pokemon. It?s also worth keeping an eye on Espeon and Umbreon as well.
Although the starter Pokemon aren?t that impressive when it comes to overall stats, they?re still pretty decent Pokemon to have on the team. The Gen 2 starters are Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita. We?re all hoping that Professor Willow would once again give us at least 1 of the starters for free.
Gen 1 Legendaries?
It?s pretty weird that Niantic is still keeping the gen 1 Legendaries under wraps. If the gen 2 Pokemon aren?t going to launch to day, then we can expect Niantic to launch the five gen 1 Legendaries instead.
