Since the discovery of GPS spoofing, cheating has been rampant in the Pokemon GO game. This prompted Pokemon GO developer Niantic to warn all players attempting to cheat their way into completing the game. So as part of the Pokemon GO update, players and readers should be warned that should any of you be caught hacking your way to become the next Pokemon GO Master, suffer the consequences and be banned for life.
Niantic did not specify any specific cheats, but any violation of the game?s terms of service (TOS) will definitely lead to a perpetual ban. Most certainly, GPS spoofing is a direct violation to the TOS, so as soon as players are caught manipulating the global positioning system (GPS) of their phone and modifying the location to access, expect to be banned. So stop trying to fake it and get your ass moving!
Other cheats determined are the use of emulators, using modified unofficial software or third party software, and accessing Pokemon GO clients or backends in an unauthorized manner.
Due to this, Niantic recently did a Pokemon Go update on the app to counter and block the consistent development of third-party Pokemon tracking apps. Though still, despite their efforts, some gamers are just way ahead and overzealous in cheating the game.
Please know that Niantic is implementing these rules and measures, all for the sake of having fun and enjoying Pokemon GO. ?Our goal is to provide a fair, fun and legitimate game experience for everyone. We will continue to work with all of you to improve the quality of the gameplay, including ongoing optimization and fine tuning of our anti-cheat system.? said Niantic.
Niantic also notes that to be fair with gamers who ?accidentally? cheat, they will allow these players to appeal. Just as long as they submit this form.
So let this serve as a warning, and if you have been cheating, thinking you?ll never be caught, well good luck to you pal! For sure Niantic will soon find counter measure your schemes and leave you with playing this chinese rip-off of Pokemon GO.
