It was only a matter of time before Niantic responded to the recent Pokemon GO catastrophe. It was recently discovered that catching Pokemon has become harder than ever, with some speculating that the developers adjusted the creatures? behavior so that players would buy more in-game items. That isn’t the case though, as the developers in Niantic stated that a ?bug? was responsible for all the frustration.
The news was announced on the official Twitter account of the mobile game, with the tweet claiming that a fix would be coming to the game soon. Given Niantic’s track record for updates, fans should expect this fix to come out in a week or two, since the company has been trying to maintain a bi-weekly update schedule.
While the news won’t necessarily please fans of Pokemon GO, they can at least be happy about the fact that the game will be fixed soon. Then again, given the most recent update of the game, there is a good chance that it might add a few new problems, along with fixes. It always seems like the game takes one step forward and another backward.
Since it’s more of a fix than an update, there is a slight chance that the game will receive it sooner than later. After all, it’s a problem that is making fans quit the game, so Niantic obviously wants to take care of it so that players can enjoy the game.
Fans on Reddit have found a temporary solution for their Pokemon-catching woes. Fans merely have to turn on the AR feature of the game, which makes it easier to catch Pokemon for some reason. This will probably sap the life of the device’s battery, since the game and the Internet data already take a lot out of it. However, that’s what power banks are for, apparently.
Pokemon GO is now available in certain countries, but as can be seen above, it is far from the perfect Pokemon experience. The game is still wildly popular despite its faults, but it could be a lot better. ?
