Pokemon GO continues to become a huge success all over the world after its initial release in July. The very popular augmented reality game has everybody hooked with many players trying their best to catch all of the Pokemon available. If you want to succeed in doing this though, one of the best Pokemon GO tips that you should try is to know how to hatch region-locked Pokemon.
Catching all of the Pokemon in Pokemon GO is certainly not an easy task. For starters, the legendary Pokemon such as Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos along with Mew, Mewtwo and Ditto are not yet available in the game. Also, some Pokemon such as Tauros, Farfetch?d, Kangaskan and Mr. Mime are only available in certain regions.
While this may seem very difficult to catch these rare region-locked Pokemon, it seems that there could be another option, which is hatching them. One of the latest additions that Niantic Labs has added to Pokemon GO is the new Capture Location. With this, it has been discovered by Reddit user giotakahashi that the Capture Location tracks where the egg was found.
This may not seem significant at first glance, but it does open the possibility that a user can hatch a region-locked Pokemon outside of the region where it is found. It does mean that you would still have to get eggs from the specific region where the Pokemon are exclusive to. At least though you would not have to spend a ton of time in searching for the region-locked Pokemon.
This strategy seems perfect for people who are travelling a lot. If you have a connecting flight or a layover in a different country, you can try spending a couple of minutes finding Pokestops to get some eggs. You may be surprised that you could luckily hatch a Farfetch?d, Tauros, Kangaskhan or Mr. Mime even if you are already back home.
