Some people on Reddit have revealed the percentage of base capture rate of various Pokemon. Through the base capture rate of each Pokemon, one can understand which Pokemon are the easiest and most difficult to catch.
Magikarp has a base capture rate of 56 percent. It means players have a 56 percent chance to catch Magikarp at first throw. Hence, it the easiest Pokemon to catch. The second easiest Pokemon to catch is Oddish, which has a base capture rate of 48 percent.
The third spot includes a wide range of Pokemon that have a base capture rate of 40 percent. It includes Caterpie, Pidgey, Rattata, JigglyPuff, Weedle, Poliwag, Magnemite and more.
Meanwhile, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and more have a base capture rate of 16 percent. Furthermore, the Legendary Pokemon like Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Mew have a zero percent base capture rate. They have not appeared in Pokemon GO yet.
Hence, the most difficult Pokemon to catch are Venusaur, Dragonite, Charizard and Blastoise, which have a base capture rate of 4 percent. It means even if players are able to spot them, they won?t be caught easily. Also, several factors such as the level of Pokemon, flee rate and the accuracy of throwing can influence the chances of catching Pokemon.
In order to get the hardest to catch Pokemon, Pokemon GO players can feed them Razz Berries. They can also make use of Ultra Balls and Great Balls in the game.
