Pokemon Go Special Item May Be Released At San Diego Comic Con 2016?

By on

Niantic, the developer of the popular game Pokemon Go, is going to host an event at the San Diego Comic Con 2016, which will run from July 21 to 24. Recent reports revealed that the event is going to be held in a larger room, Hall H, than what was previously announced. Is there a possibility that a special item will be released?

Last week, the organizers of the Comic Con published the schedule for Niantic. It was originally located in a room where only 480 people can be accommodated. However, due to its sudden popularity, the developer?s panel, which includes founder and CEO John Hanke, is now moved to Hall H, which has over 6,100 seats.

Also, there is a change in the schedule. The event of Niantic was initially scheduled on Thursday, July 21. However, with the move of location, it is now going to be held on July 24, Sunday, at 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time.

Speaking of the game, is there a chance for the developers to launch a special pokemon or at least a rare item exclusively available for the attendees?

As of now, there are still no confirmations coming from Niantic, however, for those who will attend the event, keep in mind that the Comic Con is full of surprises so you might have the access to something special on that day, particularly rare items or pokemon.

Meanwhile, organizers of the San Diego Comic Con 2016 have already released information about the different places where Pokemon Go players can hunt. These spots include a bar, the San Diego airports, outside the Convention Center?s Hall E, and more. In those areas, Geodude has been seen more often, but pokemon like Spearow and Sandslash have also made an appearance, so be sure to check out all the areas.

Further on Niantic?s event, the panel will ?examine the past, present and future of extending games beyond the screen and re-imagining reality through the lens of Ingress and Pokemon Go,? said the Comic Con International.

With these facts about the upcoming event of Niantic, this coming Sunday is indeed going to be an exciting one for Pokemon Go users. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
