Nintendo, owner of The Pokemon Company, has announced its plans for upcoming games. The company?s upcoming Pokemon Go is designed for smartphones running Android and iOS. The company could release the game in July along with the new controller called GO+.
The game will allow players to capture, battle, train and trade virtual Pokemon that appear throughout the real world. Although the game will be free-to-play, it will support in-app purchases. The game is developed by Niantic and published by The Pokemon Company.
Different Pokemons will live in different areas of the world. For example, water-type Pokemons will live near water. It’s anticipated that events will be held where players can trade Pokemon to build their collection.
The company has provided details about the gameplay on its official blog. The blog post reads, ?Just like the game players can only catch certain wild Pokemon in certain native environments. You?re not about to find a Wailord straight chillin? in a sandbox at your nearest park. And much like how the game works, you?ll have to get those steps in to hatch any eggs you acquire.?
According to PC Advisor, The trainer will appear on the map, and the profile page of the gamer. The players will be able to customize their trainer. They can select accessories and clothing according to their own style.
GO+ is one of the most interesting devices by Nintendo. It will let the players play Pokemon GO without looking at their mobile devices. It will alert the player when a Pokemon or other items are near. Players will somehow catch the Pokemon and pick up the items via the wearable. The light on the device will indicate the result.
Nintendo announced the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The other plans of Nintendo includes Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Both are the games for Nintendo 3DS handheld game console.
