Some Of The Legendary Pokemon From Gen 2

Thanks to a leak late last week, the Pokemon GO community has been riled up these past few days about a new feature coming to the game. The upcoming Raids have been the talk of Pokemon GO players and they have good reason for it. It’s likely that the addition of Pokemon GO Raids also mean the inclusion of Legendaries in the game.

The recent leak gave fans a glimpse of Pokemon GO Raids. Based on the lines of codes, the upcoming feature is going to be similar to the Raids we know of in MMORPGs. Groups of players will be working together against a common foe. In MMORPGs, Raids take place in dungeons and even very powerful bosses are part of it.

In MMORPGs, players are rewarded greatly for their efforts when joining in Raids. In Pokemon GO Raids, it’s almost certain that players will be rewarded by simply joining so that they’ll be more eager to partake of the fun. Aside from Berries, extra XP and items, it’s very possible that the Legendary Pokemon themselves are part of the biggest rewards.

If we look back at the reveal trailer for Pokemon GO, we can remember one part of the showcase that’s still not a feature in the game. Near the end of the trailer, we can see a lot of players going up against MewTwo in what looks like an event in-game. Looking back at the trailer, we can speculate that the attack on MewTwo could be the upcoming Pokemon GO Raids itself.

Since dungeons are out of the question in Pokemon GO, Raids could refer to an in-game event where groups players unite against a common powerful foe, which could be the Legendary Pokemon. Since launch, fans have yet to get a glimpse of Legendary Pokemon and we think that the Raids are a good way to introduce these powerful creatures.

If this is indeed the case, then we can expect only the top ranking players to receive the Legendary Pokemon as a reward. Niantic could take a cue from Pokemon Shuffle wherein only the high-ranking players are given the special Pokemon during event. Players that rank lower are given items only.

There are a total of 11 missing Pokemon in Pokemon GO namely Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Mew, MewTwo, Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Celebi, Ho-Oh and Lugia. Many are now wishing that we get to finally have a chance in capturing them.
