Big things could be readying up for Pokemon GO this weekend as the first live event for the augmented reality title is set to go down in Chicago. Out of the many possible surprises during the event, many are expecting a few more Pokemon to come to the game. More specifically, Pokemon GO Legendaries could be coming to the game soon.
Ever since it launched a year ago, fans have been looking forward to getting Pokemon GO Legendaries in the game and Niantic has only begun teasing the creatures a few months back. With Pokemon GO Fest set to go down sometime this weekend, we could finally see the likes of Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Mew and MewTwo arrive in the game.
If the Legendary Pokemon do arrive in Chicago this weekend, there’s a good chance that the Pokemon would be specific to the area only. It could be Niantic’s way of limiting the number of players who have Legendary Pokemon, thus staying true to the rare status of the Pokemon.
Another thing we should expect though is that not all 11 Legendary Pokemon will arrive yet. Like what it did with the release structure of the gen 1 and gen 2 Pokemon, Niantic could separate the release of the 2 gens of the Pokemon.
This means that Ho-oh, Lugia, Celebi, Entei, Raikou and Suicine could arrive in the coming months. If they do release all Legendary Pokemon in one outing, then players might not like it since there’s going to be too much to try and catch.
Niantic has teased before that the summer will be Legendary when it comes to Pokemon GO. This somewhat confirms that Legendary Pokemon are indeed coming to the game. For now, all we have to do is to wait for when we’ll finally get the acclaimed Pokemon in our rosters.
