Fans already know that Pokemon Go was first released in three countries – New Zealand, United States and Australia. But, with the recent international release of the game, do you think it is already available in your region right now? Here, check it out.
It was late last week when the game was released in the aforementioned countries. Since then, fanatics of the game have been anticipating its availability in their respective countries. In the last two days, Pokemon Go has already been launched in more nations. Here is the updated list of countries where the game can be played:
- Dominican Republic
- New Zealand
- United Kingdom
Apparently, South American and South East Asian countries still do not have access to the game. However, there are reports claiming that Pokemon Go is going to be available in those countries come the end of July. But, there is still no confirmation about it.
Furthermore, it was published earlier this week that servers in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan have been fixed, which gave the fans hope that the game is going to be released sooner.
However, in an updated post, it was noted that those servers, specifically in the Philippines and Taiwan, are down again and it appears that Niantic, the developer of the game, was just testing it out.
It can be recalled that last week, Niantic announced that the release of the game would be delayed due to server overcapacity. ?We thought the game would be popular, but it obviously struck a nerve,? Niantic CEO John Hanke told Business Insider. He added that they are going to release the game in other countries when they are already ?comfortable? with the situation.
Meanwhile, the list of countries where Pokemon Go is said to be available is just based on members of iMore confirming the availability of the game in their country. With that, help us by commenting below if the game is already playable in your region so we can update our list.
