After sending out a warning to Pok?mon GO ?cheaters? last week, Niantic is finally banning players using hacks, cheats or bots as several players claimed to have received the ?ban? email from the company.
The first wave of ban has apparently crashed the inbox of large number of users with a similar email that starts with a stern note that the user?s ?account has been terminated.?
The email reads that the gamers may have used third party apps, emulators or GPS spoofing to falsify location and access Pokemon Go servers in an unauthorized manner and are hence banned.
Apparently, Niantic is specifically targeting users who are using bots to take control of player?s account and automating capture of Pokemon, visiting PokeStops, and slowly leveling up.
?After reviewing many reports of in-game cheating, we have started taking action against players taking unfair advantage of and abusing Pokemon Go. Moving forward, we will continue to terminate accounts that show clear signs of cheating,? Niantic wrote in a blogpost last week.
Although it remains unclear as to which of the third party apps may get you banned, it has been reported that players even making use of third party apps like stat tracking and organization tools as such Poke Advisor may get banned too. The ban also affects players signing into external apps to check Individual values and track Pokemons.
Unfortunately a lot of genuine players have also been caught in the crossfire as users complained.
How to appeal the Ban?
However there is a workaround the ban as Niantic allows user to file a complaint in case your account has been terminated incorrectly. Gamers can visit the link here – ?https://support.pokemongo.nianticlabs.com/hc/requests/new?ticket_form_id=233187.
Users have claimed to get their accounts restored after filing appeal to Niantic, but of course this requires players to explain the reason why they used a particular app.
End of Hacks/Cheats?
Many of the users are now worried that developers are taking action, all the fun of playing the game is going to end. There are still some of the apps that are not under attack from Niantic Labs.
Yibada says that Necrobot (forked) 0.9 can still work for users who want to level up their Pok?mon GO account up to level 40.
An all-new ?Insta-PokeGo? app offers players a nearly 100% automated Pokemon Go experience. Besides catching Pokemon and visiting PokeStops, the bot program offers GPS spoofing to allow players to travel around the world to catch exclusive Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Mr. Mime.
It allows players to manually track Pokemon they haven?t found yet and automatically tracks and captures Pokemon.
However it is recommended not to use any of these bot services as leveling up fast could get you tagged as a cheater by the developers.
