Now that there are more Pokemon in Niantic?s Pokemon GO, all that?s left to do is wait for the rest of gen 2 to arrive. The only Pokemon available in gen 2 for now are the Baby Pokemon. The new Pokemon are exciting and all, but we?re sure that trainers are still waiting for the rest of gen 2 to arrive. Will we get to see the rest of Pokemon GO gen 2 before the year ends? Or will we have to wait next year instead?
Niantic promised that the rest of Pokemon GO gen 2 will be rolling out in the next few months. No exact release date has been pegged yet. However, fans are still expecting other some of Pokemon GO gen 2 to be released before the year ends. Togepi, for example, could get its adult form Togetic soon as it?s the only Baby Pokemon without an evolution.
The new Pokemon now available are Smoochum, Pichu, Togepi, Magby, Elekid, Cleffa and Igglybuff. Oddly enough, the other Baby Pokemon, Tyrogue, is yet to be part of the game.
Tyrogue evolves into one of three Pokemon: Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop, depending on its stats. It?s likely that Niantic has yet to figure out how Tyrogue will work, so it has to sit out the game first. However, Tyrogue remains to be the next Pokemon to join the game.
For now it?s hard to expect Niantic to release more gen 2 Pokemon before the year ends except for Togetic. The earliest we can expect Niantic to release more Pokemon is early next year in January, then in the following months to come.
We?ll have to wait for Niantic?s official word on when the next Pokemon will arrive. We can expect dataminers to once again scour the game?s files for clues about the next Pokemon when another update arrives.
