Pokemon GO fans have been very busy the past few months. Niantic Labs has launched several new features and events recently such as the Halloween and Thanksgiving Pokemon GO events. For the month of December, many were wondering what Pokemon GO event will be taking place. Luckily, Niantic Labs has finally revealed the Pokemon GO End of Year Update which many had been anticipating.

Niantic Labs has certainly amped up its efforts to maintain the average daily users for Pokemon GO. While the augmented reality game is very interesting, it is still somewhat limited in terms of gameplay. This has caused some users to get bored with the game after some time.

Well, it appears that Niantic Labs has something great planned for its Pokemon GO Christmas Event. According to Forbes, the game?s developers have finally revealed what it plans to roll out later this month.

Pokemon GO End of Year Update

From Christmas Day to January 3, PokeStops will start to give out single-use incubators once every day. Also, Pokemon trainers will likewise have a better chance to hatch the new Gen 2 baby Pokemon which was introduced earlier in the month.

The incubators are certainly going to be very helpful, particularly that hatching eggs can be tough with only one available. It will also help those trainers who want to hatch a Togepi, Pichu and other Gen 2 Pokemon in the game.

Two Events for December

Niantic Labs is also planning something for players starting December 30th to January 8th. Pokemon GO trainers will start to encounter the original starter Pokemon Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. The same goes for all of their evolutions.

In the same period, Lures are going to last twice as long as it normally does. Instead of having effect for thirty minutes, Lures will last for an hour from December 30 to January 8.
