Several weeks after the release of Pokemon GO, developer Niantic has been consistently taking down major ?cheats? of the game. Also, in the latest update of the game, they removed the one thing every gamer needs – the tracking system.
According to reports, that particular feature of the game that enables the players to locate the creatures easily as well as see how close they are to their target Pokemon is now gone. It happened after the July 31 update and fans are really not happy about it. For weeks, the feature has not worked properly and Niantic?s way of fixing it is by removing it.
On the other hand, some might think that it would okay for Niantic to remove it because there are still a lot of third-party apps or websites that would provide similar service to the tracking system. But, Niantic is also not happy with those apps, which caused them to hunt and put those down.
One of the most recent one to go offline is the PokeVision. It was considered as one of the most helpful sites for the game as it gave the gamers details where to exactly locate a Pokemon and how long they will be there before vanishing. However, as mentioned, it has been shut down and in fact, when you visit the site, a note will appear saying ?services are currently unavailable.?
But do not lose your hopes yet, because there are still alternative ?cheats? for Pokemon GO. According to different publications, the Poke Radar app is still working fine and has become better than ever. If you are wondering why Niantic has not taken down the app, it is mainly because they never used the game?s API or violate any terms of service from the developer. Instead, Poke Radar depends on tips submitted by various users to help you see where people are catching what.
Also, as reported by TheBitbag earlier, Apple and android users still have other options. For the former, they could check PokeMap on iTunes. The description of the app states that a gamer could ?share rare Pokemon locations with your friends & team mates.? Meanwhile, android users can visit Google Play and search for PokeMap Live, which is said to be a real-time map of all the Pokemon in your area that are available for catching.
Although there are still a lot of third-party apps available for both Apple and android users, do not expect them to be available for a long time especially when they are violating the terms of service of Niantic. ?Yeah, I don?t really like that [third-party apps]. Not a fan. We have priorities right now but they might find in the future that those things may not work. People are only hurting themselves because it takes some fun of out of the game. People are hacking around trying to take data out of our system and that?s against our terms of service,? Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke told Forbes in a recent interview.
It is certain that Niantic is going to continue their campaign in eliminating these third-party apps so be sure to stay tuned here on The Bitbag for updates about Pokemon GO cheats. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
