Niantic recently updated Pokemon GO, and in a bid to make the game even better, it added a new feature called Appraisal. Like most of the features in Pokemon GO, appraisals can be a bit hard to understand without a proper tutorial. You don?t have to worry though, as we have the details on how Pokemon GO Appraisal works.
Pokemon GO Appraisal will finally make the team leaders useful in the game. It doesn?t matter if the player chose to side with Team Instinct, Valor or Mystic; everyone gets to be guided by either Spark, Candela or Blanche. Sadly, this also means that the new feature can only be used by players who already have a team. Players can only join a team once they reach level 5.
The team leaders have their own personality, but what they say can determine just how powerful a Pokemon is. Basically, Spark, Candela and Blanche will give their thoughts on a Pokemon?s IV but not give out the exact value.
What the team leaders will say will depend on a range of values of the Pokemon?s IV. The divisions are 0%-50%, 51%-66%, 67%-79%, 80%-100%. The leader?s reaction will determine the range of the Pokemon?s IV. The more they praise the Pokemon, the better it is.
Aside from the Pokemon?s overall strength, Spark, Candela and Blanche can also appraise a Pokemon?s individual stats. This time, the leaders will say something with regard to which stat of the Pokemon reaches set values. The divisions are 0-7, 8-12, 13-14 and 15.
Pokemon GO Appraisal seems to be a very confusing feature, and it doesn?t exactly give out the exact details of a Pokemon?s stats, but it does give a rough estimate of the values. If this guide is a bit confusing, check out our guide on the exact phrases that Spark, Candela and Blanche give when a Pokemon is being appraised.
