Niantic Labs recently released an update on their hit mobile game Pokemon GO. The patch is now available for Android users and it is dubbed as 0.59.1. It will bring bug fixes and a few changes on Special or Evolutionary items. However, it seems like the update brings more problems in the game as reported by several users.
This recent patch is not that huge compared to the previous ones. It mainly focuses on two points but will surely help gamers in the long-run. First on the list is the new method of acquiring evolution items. Through the update, trainers will now have a 100% chance of getting special items at the end of each week.
It can be recalled that prior to the patch, gamers had a pretty low chance of acquiring an evolution item. Each day, they have to spin the Photo disc at the PokeStop and hope for a special item. But since it can only be played once a day, you should visit again a day after that to have another shot for those items.
In this update, on the other hand, gamers will now receive a special item after spinning the Photo disc for seven consecutive days. Meaning, at the end of each week, trainers will receive an evolution item for their Gen 1 Pokemon to evolve. However, keep in mind that it will be picked randomly so there is no assurance that you will get what you really want.
The other focus of this Pokemon GO update is “minor text fixes,” GameSpot reported. As of writing, there are no other patch notes available yet. Niantic Labs has not confirmed the other goodies that the update brought. For now, just be glad that it is not that hard anymore to collect special items. Let us wait for further announcements from the developers.
‘Pokemon GO’ Update Bugs
On a bad note, Inverse noted on their recent post that trainers who have updated their app may experience some irregularities in the game. That includes delayed actions, crashes, busted low battery notification, frozen black screen, and inability to connect. Developers have no statement yet regarding the issue but hopefully they would soon fix it.
