NEW ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS AT CES 2009
Plustek shows off new products that are fun to use and environment-friendly
LAS VEGAS, Consumer Electronics Show [Hilton Pavilion, Booth #50010] (Jan. 8, 2009) – Plustek Technology Inc. (www.plustek.com/usa), a manufacturer of consumer, professional and office imaging devices, will exhibit a full line of new products at the world-renowned Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Products on display will be an array of scanners including: the OpticFilm Series, the OpticBook A300, the BookReader V100, the MobileOffice D600, and the Plustek Network Video Recorder NVR 4000.
Plustek’s New Year’s goal is to change the way consumers treat paper to make a difference in the ecology of the earth. By making products that avoid paper waste, Plustek and consumers can ‘go-green’ and have fun with their products, all while helping increase productivity at work and play!
The Plustek OpticFilm Scanner Series converts film and slides of memories into digital files to share with family and friends in the form of eco-friendly digital albums, screen savers, e-mails, etc.
The Plustek OpticBook Scanner Series includes the OpticBook A300, which helps scan books and other bounded materials for academic study and information sharing. Too often photocopies are used, creating paper waste, but now Plustek’s line of high-quality scanners allows eco-friendly digital files to be created in their place.
The BookReader V100 also helps reduce paper waste by converting text to MP3 audio format. Instead of printing hard copies of reports, books or other text, business professionals and the general consumer can use the Plustek BookReader V100 to convert text into MP3 audio files and listen to them anytime, anywhere.
The MobileOffice D600 is a great mobile scanner that is especially designed to convert checks, receipts, plastic cards, embossed cards, and ID cards into various digital formats such as JPG, BMP, TIF, Word, Excel, and searchable PDF files in minutes. By the press of a button, the D600 captures both sides of documents and transfers them into a pre-defined directory location. Great for scanning both sides of ID cards and insurance cards during field trips or at registration desks, scanning receipts for better personal financing management, and easily scanning documents to share with colleagues, the MobileOffice D600 is the perfect mobile companion to any professional in any field of work.
Network Video Recorder
Plustek will also be featuring their Network Video Recorder, the NVR 4000, together with AXIS network cameras, to offer a comprehensive surveillance solution for detecting shoplifters, reducing false alarms, increasing personal safety and viewing premises remotely. The NVR 4000 connects directly to an existing network and can be managed through LAN or the Internet. This recorder will store images for up to 14 days from four IP cameras. It is ideal solution for monitoring small shops, hotels, small offices and homes.
