We are nearing the end of April, meaning we are also getting close to the time when we start learning what Sony has in store for its PlayStation Plus subscribers. At this point, the console maker has not yet announced the official titles included and it’s still too soon for any predictions. However, here’s what we know about the PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2017 so far.

PlayStation Plus owners can currently download and play a number of titles including Invizimals: the Lost Kingdom, 10 Second Ninja and Curses ‘n Chaos, Drawn To Death, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, and Alien Rage – Extended Edition. All in all, there are four games which are compatible with PlayStation 4 with PS Vita titles 10 Second Ninja and Curses ‘n Chaos accessible via CrossBuy.

These are set to be available until Tuesday, May 2 and will be replaced by the new PS Plus selection Sony has prepared. Since there are roughly two weeks left before the expected release schedule, gamers will unlikely receive a PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2017 announcement this week. Although the game maker does have a habit of disclosing at least one game prior to the official reveal, so an early unveiling may be in the pipeline.

We listed our predictions below:

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition

PlayStation and THQ Nordic previously collaborated for a humble bundle and it included Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition. Last September, Capcom and Sony did the same including Resident Evil HD in the PS+ lineup the next month. Some gamers predict Sony could team up with the game developer again and bring one of its titles in the May lineup.

God of War 3 Remastered

The God of War 3 Remastered released on PS4 in 2015 is another possible title we could see next month. We can recall Sony included a first party title in the PS4 plus lineup for three months in a row this year and GOW3 Remastered could very well be the next one. The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 is in two months. If we’re right, we will most likely get our next look at the upcoming God of War installment for PS4 so it’s the last installment’s inclusion in the Plus roster is an effective way to build hype.

Crypt of the Necrodancer

PlayStation Plus has the tendency to include a few of its famous indie titles and if we’re lucky, we could get Crypt of the Necrodancer this time. Released in 2016, the game is a top-down 2D dungeon crawler in which the player controls one character to explore several levels of procedurally generated dungeons, similar to roguelike games. It lets you fight skeletons, dragons, zombies, and other creatures.

Thumper

According to Steam‘s description, “Thumper is rhythm violence: classic rhythm-action, blistering speed, and brutal physicality. You are a space beetle. Brave the hellish void and confront a maniacal giant head from the future.” It’s a pretty cool game for PS4 but even better on PlayStation VR. Fans have been requesting for a free VR game on PS Plus for a while now. Including Thumper would not just please those fans, but also give those non-PS VR owners a chance to experience the game.

There’s already a rumor that Sony would shake things up a bit for next month’s PS Plus promo. Express says it could offer a new PlayStation VR game, although the company has only hinted that this might be part of their future plans. If this turns out accurate, there’s a higher chance of Thumper being included on PS Plus For May.

As always, we may or may not see any of these titles, so take their inclusion with a grain of salt. We’d like to know your suggestions, though. What games would you like to see on PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2017? Leave your comments below!
