PlayStation 4 Neo Release Sooner Than Later As Console Already In Production

Sony Computer Entertainment could release the new Playstation gaming console. It is supposed to be named either PS4K or PlayStation Neo.

Sony may announce its latest gaming console PlayStation 4k or PS4.5 or PS Neo. In March, Kotaku reported for first time that Sony is working on a much powerful gaming console. It would be an upgraded version of the current PlayStation 4. After that, predictions were made that it could be named PS4k or PS4.5.

According to Trusted Reviews, although Sony has not announced any gaming console at its E3 conference, the company has confirmed that it?s working on new gaming console, PlayStation 4K. PS4k would support 4K gaming and the PlayStation Virtual Reality (PSVR) headset. The new gaming console would support most of the currently released games and upcoming 4K games with improved visuals.

The new console will feature much better hardware that will increase it processing speed. GPU upgrade is obvious to support 4K games. GameNGuide has reported that PS4 NEO will share the same hard disc with current PS4, however, it’s not clear whether it would be same in terms of capacity or type of hard disk.

PlayStation NEO is expected to have an 8-core Jaguar CPU that will boost the processing speed up to 2.1 GHz. According to The Times of India, current CPU of PS4 offers the maximum speed of 1.6 GHz. So, an upcoming console would be a lot more powerful than current PS4. RAM.

At Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Microsoft has unveiled its upcoming gaming consoles Xbox One S and Xbox Scorpio. The company will release the Xbox One S in August this year, and Xbox Scorpio is supposed to hit the market by the end of 2017.

Nintendo has also announced Wii U, a new generation controller and console combo. The company may also release Nintendo NX in 2017.

These new releases have added to the speculations that Sony could announce its new console soon. However, the company has not released any statement about the release of PlayStation NEO.
