Recently, Bluehole Inc. has announced the Early Access Week 2 PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds patch notes. The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds April update fixes its sound issues, and other general gameplay bug fixes. The Early Access Week 2 changes are crucial for its gameplay.
PlayerUnknown’s Battleground April Update
The new Early Access Week 2 patch notes confirm several crucial updates to the game. PlayerUnknown’s Battleground has received some server improvements, building rendering, sound improvements, and gameplay bug fixes as of this patch. Overall, the fixes in this patch are crucial to improve the game’s overall quality rather than just removing specific issues.
The new PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update has some client performance improvements which allows the game to not struggle when loading buildings as the player approaches. The new Early Access Week 2 patch also allows players to see far buildings which were previously invisible. Server performance improvements have also been confirmed which improves gameplay stability.
Sound fixes also included a remedy towards the issues on door sounds being too faint. Additionally, the patch also adjusted the sounds for wind, rain, and footsteps. The Buggy vehicle has had its sound fixed too. Lastly, thunder sounds can now be occasionally heard during the rain. Overall, Bluehole Inc. improved the sound design of their game.
Gamebreaking Glitch Fixes
This patch now also prevents players from clipping through various areas in the game. Players would hide inside rocks to become undetectable and have a safe cover to defeat other players. Meanwhile, the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds April update also made fixes to prevent players from going under the map. Lastly, the bug fixes lists down to solve weapon switching issues and wrong compass directions.
Overall Patch Importance
In a PvP survival game a la Battle Royale, players will need every hint of sound for situational awareness in the match. Players can be paranoid about recruiting other players due to the game’s “last man standing” end goal. If playing solo against everybody, players will need every information they can get on each person near them and use it to their advantage.
The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds April update is just the second patch of the game. Since it is still in Early Access, the game will continuously need more updates as it builds up to its full version. Stay updated with more PlayerUnknown’s Battleground news and updates here on The Bitbag.
