Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Will Be Treated With New “Tactical Tacos Party Pack” DLC For Free

By on
New Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare DLC called “Tactical Taco Party Pack” will arrive today on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles

Today, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will receive another free DLC from its developers, PopCap Games. The update will be called ?Tactical Taco Party Pack? and will bring in a new game mode, a new map, and handful of other fresh content.

Jewel Junction, the new Western-themed map, features a train that chugs its way around the center of the map at regular intervals. The new game mode, called Vanquish Confirmed, is reminiscent of the ?Kill Confirmed? found in the Call of Duty franchise. In this mode, players can take down enemies but will only obtain credit when they pick up tokens left behind by the defeated opponents.

Furthermore, there?s also an 8v8 mixed player mode that will involve all competitive modes. The Tactical Taco Party Pack will also add a wave of special challenges for Garden Ops along with two free custom characters called Berry Shooter and Citrus Cactus ? these two will have their own distinct appearances and abilities.

These are their official description:

Berry Shooter: This blue, berry-boosted beauty, deals extra splash damage with a slower rate of fire ? perfect for vanquishing that elusive, overly ambitious opponent.

Citrus Cactus: Slinging orange wedges with a 3-round burst, this prickly fellow vanquishes his foes with precision shooting and perfectly timed one-liners.

These two new variants are sponsored by Aquafina Flavorsplash, a flavored water brand. This particular trend is becoming more and more popular as Epic Games had also partnered Maxim, a men?s magazine, to bring the Gears of War: Judgment DLC back in 2013. Meanwhile, in their official DLC announcement, this is what published EA and developed PopCap has to say with the new Tactical Taco expansion:

?In the Tactical Taco Party Pack, Dr. Zomboss has been mining gems from the Jewel Junction mines in order to help finance his war efforts. The Plants have discovered this facility and are trying to hit him in his pocket book. If successful players can strike a major victory against Dr. Zomboss and his Zombie army, the fiesta will commence?.just watch out for that train!?

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was released to Xbox 360 and Xbox One earlier this year with a planned PS3 and PS4 release on August ? the latter version is expected to run at 1080p, 60fps resolution. The Tactical Taco Party Pack trailer is hosted by Microsoft?s Larry Hryb, more commonly known as Major Nelson. Check it out below.
