PopCap Games, a subdivision of Electronic Arts Inc., has announced that their hilarious, critically acclaimed shooter, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, will be coming out of the trenches, and making its way to the PC, through retailers starting this coming June 24.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is one of the best in its class as far as multiplayer third person shooters go. It is endearing to fans that have come to love the Plants vs. Zombies franchise with their blend of fun and humor as well as strategy. It also gives shooters a more funny and unconventional approach and appeals to all ages and demographics. Simply put, it?s not your typical third person shooter, with all the right reasons going for it.

The game was launched earlier this year for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. Since then, the game has garnered global attention with both critics and fans praising the game. With the coming of the game to the PC, it?s sure to attract an even wider audience. Brian Lindley, Producer of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, had this to say: ?We?ve had an amazing response from players since launching the Xbox platforms, and can?t wait for PC players to join the party this summer?. In terms of gameplay and content, he added: ?The PC version has all the great content that we have put out since launch, like?Garden Variety and?Zomboss Down?for players to enjoy from the start.?

In the game, players are able to choose a side between plants or zombies, and then they can battle it out in combat against their counterparts, by using anything in their arsenal including different weapons. PC fans will be pleased to know that some of the franchise?s most beloved characters like the Sunflower and Chomper are still in the game, and there are new additions which include the Ice Cactus and the Marine Biologist.

There are up to four gameplay modes that players can choose from, including a 12 vs. 12 competitive multiplayer mode called ?Gardens vs. Graveyards? and ?Team Vanquish?. There are also 8 vs 8 modes as well as coop modes if those suit your tastes more.

The game is now available for pre-order. Those who pre-order will be receiving some extra in game items, like booster packs or coins.
