Disney supposedly confirmed that Johnny Depp will still play the lead role for the upcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 . This means we have not yet seen the last of Captain Jack Sparrow. This will go along with significant changes to the storyline. The fifth installment won’t be a sequel. Instead, it is going is be a reboot that will focus on Will Turner and his paternal role. Since this is the case, the character of Depp will be pushed aside.
However, this may no longer happen due to popular demand.

Disney?s initial plan was because of recent controversies surrounding the personal life of Depp. In addition, we are also looking at his questionable performance in one his latest films, The Lone Ranger, as one of the causes. The movie supposedly smears his stunning record in the box office.
