Spending time with Persona 5’s Confidants won’t just let you unlock some useful skills and hear their stories. At times, they’ll invite you to go to certain unique hang out spots. Most of the spots are known Tokyo districts or tourist spots.

Confidant Hang Out Spots

As you hang out with some Confidants in Persona 5, they’ll often invite you to go to some areas as you spend time with them. More than just a brief visit, you’ll be introduced to some areas which are visual eye candy too. However, you’ll have to invest in hanging out with a certain Confidant to unlock these areas.

Just Keep Hanging Out

Easily, repeatedly hanging out with the Phantom Thieves members may potentially bring you to their favorite hang out spots. For example, Ann brings you to Inokashira Park and Ryuji will bring you to the Ogikubo Ramen shop. More than just learning these spots, these can also be used to vastly improve Confidant relationship to unlock the next level faster.

Like Real People

Confidants don’t always get the upgrade just because you’ve spent time with them. Sometimes, you have to keep going for it even without the upgrade, wear a Persona according to their respective Confidant, or leave them alone for a while until they call you. Hang out spots can potentially hasten up your Confidant progress and get them maxed out as soon as possible.

Maxing Out Confidants

As it is a Persona entry, maxing out confidants will allow you to have experience boosts in particular when getting a Persona through fusion. Additionally, some characters will become more effective fighters during battles. However, Persona 5 actually gives more bonuses and features especially to the non-party member Confidants. They’ll offer you unique services, teach you new moves to use in battles, or boost your victory gains after fighting Shadows.

However, it’s never an easy job to max all of the Confidants out in one playthrough as you’ll have to balance your character traits while doing activities as regular high school student, engaging in thievery, and establishing connections with others. You’ll need every help you can get to make the best of your playthrough or to prepare for a better second playthrough.
