The Perfect World Company, through their wholly owned subsidiary, Perfect Online Holding, intends to purchase Warframe developer Digital Extremes, in partnership with Sumpo Food Holdings. This is according to a document from Sumpo Food Holdings outlining details of the proposed acquisition.
The document mentions that the companies have ?entered into a non-binding term sheet? that outlines the proposed investment and that Digital Extremes has agreed to it. The purchasers are conducting due diligence on the acquisition proposal and Digital Extremes has agreed not to solicit other offers for the next 40 days.

When asked for a comment, Digital Extremes referred to a comment from their creative director Steve Sinclair which was posted in the Warframe forums. The comment states: ?You may have read something about the business development side of Digital Extremes, and it may have you concerned. For legal reasons, we can’t disclose specifics, but if you know the history of?Warframe?you’d know that we are intent on having?Warframe’s design remain in the hands of Digital Extremes. Yes, opportunities will arise for us but the game itself is and will remain a labor of love for us.?
