HTC One reveals itself on UK high street

HTC, the behind-the-scenes designer and manufacturer of many OEM-branded mobile devices, is set to launch its new HTC One on March 25 but before said huge event, it somehow unveils itself on the UK high street.

HTC’s new advertisement outside the Phones 4U says that the all new HTC One is coming soon, trying to tease the public with the alleged pixelated image of the said phone with a red mark of the date of its launching both in London and New York City simultaneously.

However, rumors as to the specifications of HTC?s flagship this 2014 spread through the internet was confirmed on eBay when someone posted and listed for sale therein a dummy unit of the Verizon-branded 32GB HTC One 4G LTE.

The all new HTC One features a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 4MP camera on the back, 5MP front-facing camera, a microSD card slot that can support up to 128GB extended memory. It will be powered by a quad core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor — which also comes on Sony Xperia Z2 and Galaxy S5 — with its 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the dummy unit which is sold for US$499.99 says that the dual rear cameras are HTC?s Ultrapixel cameras with an F2/0 28mm lens, HTC ImageChip 2 with HDR Video while the front -facing camera will be a 5MP BSI wide lens with HDR capability, 1080p video recording, HTC Zoe. HTC One also features 3.5mm stereo audio jack and microUSB, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, DLNA, GPS/AGPS+GLONASS, NFC, and 4G LTE capable.

As to its release and pricing details, there are rumors that it will be in the market in just two weeks after its launching on March 25 and it will be available in over 110 countries around the world though US release date is unknown as of the moment. HTC One 2014 (M8) price details have not been announced yet, though some UK retailers have it for ?579.99.
