There’s a new update out for Overwatch and it adds more than just a new hero to the roster of the shooter. There are quite a few additions to the game that came along with the update that players should take note of. Here are all the changes in Overwatch update 2.07 that’s now a available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

General Changes

For Competitive Play, players will have a new tweak made to the Route 66 map. With Overwatch update 2.07 downloaded, the attacking team on Route 66 will get an additional 60 seconds after getting the payload through the first checkpoint. Though minor, this change could shift up strategies, and 60 seconds is a big addition. Moreover, this change will bring Route 66 in line with the other Escort maps, says community manager Josh Engen.

Another change to take note of is with regards to the Custom Game and Game Browser feature. The update will allow players to disable or modify the abilities activated with the secondary fire button. Basically, abilities like Zarya’s secondary attack with the Particle Cannon can now be removed.

Hero Tweaks

Like past updates, Overwatch update 2.07 also looks to further balance the game’s heroes. There are a few tweaks for heroes such as Ana, Bastiona, Junkrat, Mercy, Sombra, Winston, Zarya, and Zenyatta. One of the highlighted changes include Sombra’s tweaks for Hack, Stealth and Translocator. The developer is looking to buff Sombra’s hacking abilities.

“Sombra can be devastating in the right hands, but infiltrating and harassing enemies could often feel difficult. These changes should increase her effectiveness and teamplay,” says the developer.

Another neat change is with Junkrat. Those who love to use this explosive hero have a lot to be happy about as Junkrat’s projectiles no longer hurt himself. This would make attacking from close range less risky and more effective.

Bug Fixes

The update will also have a few bug fixes in the game. For general bug fixes, players will be able to properly see the names of the owners of any destroyed player-owned objects such as Teleporters, Turrets and Shield Generators. There are quite a few bug fixes to take note of and if players want to see all of it, they should head to the Overwatch forums.

While these changes are needed and appreciated, the highlight of Overwatch update 2.07 still remains on the addition of Orisa to the game’s roster.
