Overwatch Game Director Jeff Kaplan confirmed on the official forums that the supposed event exclusive skins, Oni Genji and Officer D.Va, will be part of the regular lootbox drops soon. However, Kaplan encourages fans to try obtaining the skins through the event. Blizzard Entertainment has recently announced about the Nexus Challenge event that promises to give free Overwatch cosmetics for playing Heroes Of The Storm.

Other Ways To Get Event Skins

Kaplan said that the developers understand the concerns of players who can’t obtain the skins due to a lack of capable gaming PC. Due to this issue, the Overwatch developers are planning to include the Oni Genji and Officer D.va skins to the regular loot box drops. However, Kaplan didn’t confirm any specific dates for these skins to be added as loot box drops. Potentially, other players may get these legendary skins through loot boxes months later after the Nexus Challenge 2.0 event ends.

Nexus Challenge 2.0

The Nexus Challenge 2.0 will reward Overwatch and Heroes of The Storm players with cosmetics after they complete the challenges. Players will need to play at least five matches of Quick Match, Unranked, or Ranked with friends in Heroes of the Storm to claim these rewards. Different rewards will given out each week from now until May 15.

Event Rewards

The Oni Genji and Officer D.Va skins will be rewarded for free as long as they accomplish the required matches with friends each event week. Previously, the Oni Genji cosmetics for Heroes of The Storm and Overwatch was already given out for the first Nexus Challenge event. After this event, we’ll have to wait until Kaplan and the Overwatch team includes these two skins in the regular loot boxes. Here are the Nexus Challenge 2.0 rewards per week:
