Update: The Overwatch April event has now leaked online. The highlights of the event include a new PvE brawl mode and several new skins. Original story follows below.

Original Story: Players are excited for Overwatch this week as many are speculating that there are big things headed to the game soon. Blizzard has been quite busy teasing players about what’s to come in the game. Here’s everything we know about the Overwatch April event.

Announcement Tomorrow

Last week, Blizzard began the tease with a short video that reveals something is headed to the game on April 11. We’ve yet to know what it is but it has something to do with Omnics and King’s Row. Since April 11 is only a few short hours away, players will need to keep a sharp eye on what Blizzard has in store for us.

Skins Only Event?

Many players are speculating that there’s nothing big coming in the Overwatch April event. Some are even speculating that the upcoming event will just give players access to a handful of new skins to grab. Despite this, the possible skins that Blizzard could add look promising nonetheless.

Blizzard recently launched a new comic for the Overwatch and it showcased the band of heroes when the team was still a solid group. It’s possible that Blizzard might give out some of the skins seen in the comic. Images of the new skins also apparently surfaced early on the Xbox store. Tracer, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and Mercy might get Legendary skins based on the leak.

New Feature?

Another speculation for the Overwatch April event is that it will bring in a new feature to the game. As per the teaser video released by Blizzard, key words that fans are looking into are “Mission files unlock.” It’s rumored that Blizzard might give players a chance at acquiring a lot of loot boxes through missions that change daily or weekly. It’s been a missing feature in the game and fans are looking to get their hands on it especially if it’s a chance to get more loot.

Another speculation is another horde mode like Junkenstein’s Revenge. An Omnic Uprising event could be held in King’s Row where the Overwatch team would need to cooperate to fight against wave after waves of terrorists.

Blizzard will be unveiling the upcoming Overwatch April event tomorrow since it’s the date stated on the teaser video. Whatever they might bring, it’s going to be exciting, that’s for sure.
