Vopmart, an online retailer based in China, has listed Lenovo?s upcoming Golden Warrior S8 handset. All details about the phone?s specifications, along with the price, are indicated in the listing. Upon closer look to the model?s specs, you may presume that it is a device targeted at mid-tier smartphone users.

Adhering snugly to its moniker, the Lenovo Golden Warrior S8 has an aluminum frame dressed up in a bright golden color. It flaunts a metallic fabric shell that is supposed to be fingerprint and skid resistant. The new model packs a slim body with a 7.9-mm thickness, giving it a sleek and slender look. It is furnished with an aluminum alloy frame which will help dissipate heat faster.

When it comes to the Golden Warrior S8?s innards, a MediaTek MTK6592M chipset can be found. It is a Quad-core processor running at 1.4 GHz and works on a 2 GB RAM. The model has 16 GB worth of internal storage and a MicroSD card slot to allow storage expansion. It will be powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Lenovo?s impending offering sports a 5.3-inch, LTPS display. The screen resolution is measured at 1280 x 720 pixels, and with the size mentioned it will only result to 277 ppi pixel density. This capacitive touchscreen display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Given the present trend of 3 to 4 GB RAMs and true HD displays, Golden Warrior S8?s specs clearly indicate it is a mid-range device status. Lenovo?s decision to equip the device with an older version of Android OS also confirms that finding. However, the phone has a relatively impressive 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Its front-facing camera is able to shoot 5-megapixel photos. Connectivity is not an issue for this model as it supports Wi-Fi 801.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G compatibility, and Dual-SIM capability.

As of now, Lenovo has not yet officially announced when the device will be released. Although posted a listing of the device, people interested in buying it can only make pre-orders. The site?s $ 200 price tag is a quite a good catch for a phone with these specs though.
