There have been numerous reports claiming that Nokia will are releasing its first flagship since the Lumia brand. Many experts believed that it will be the Nokia 8. However, increasing number of reports suggest that it will be the Nokia 9 instead. That said, immediately after the leaked introduction video from last week, a new report now suggest that a French Android website somehow managed to get its hands on a prototype of the said phone.
According to the French Android website, it received an anonymous package containing what appears to be a prototype of the upcoming flagship from Nokia. Based on the said website, it would seem that Nokia is stirring up the Android ecosystem with the specs of the alleged flagship phone.
The website claims that the sample in its possession sports the latest Snapdragon 835 chip paired with 4GB of RAM. The alleged Nokia 9 prototype carries a 64GB flash storage and a 5.3-inch WQHD display. In addition to these, the phone will also have two 13-megapixel imaging sensors at the back.
The site also claims that the phone in question sports the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat version.
Unfortunately, since the said sample is covered with an external case, the site was not able to do an in-depth analysis of the phone; such as material used on it. However, it claims that Nokia could be using aluminum for the Nokia 9.
The website went on ahead and reviewed some images taken with the alleged Nokia 9 prototype. According to the website, there are some visible artifacting on some of the image samples. However, it should be noted that the unit under test is still a prototype.
If it is definitely a Nokia 9 prototype, Nokia could still turn around and put a lot of improvements on it. It is still too early to say if this really is the alleged flagship from the phone maker. Nevertheless, the images speak for themselves and they seem to confirm earlier specs of the phone. For more updates on the Nokia 9, be sure to check us out at TheBitbag.
