Nokia 150 Specs & Release Date: HMD Global’s Back-to-Basics Mobile Phone

Apparently, Nokia fans won?t have to mourn Nokia?s demise any longer. The fallen empire of one of the biggest mobile device companies a few years ago is making their comeback. The new owners of the company, HMD Global, has recently unveiled their first device called Nokia 150.

Apparently, Nokia?s first device in their comeback crusade has striking similarities to their last device known as the Nokia 216. Furthermore, the $26 Nokia 150 features a VGA camera, LED flash, a 2.4? screen and a whopping 22 hours of battery life. In addition, Nokia 150 comes in two variants with the other one being a Dual SIM.

To ensure longer connectivity, the phone features a talk time that could last up to 22 hours. In addition, it could also last up to 31 days provided that it is on standby. However, the Dual Sim variant only has 25 days of standby time. Furthermore, the phone uses a standard micro-USB charger that also features a LED torchlight.

Surprisingly, the phone comes with pre-installed games including the classic Snake Xenzia. Users can also buy Gameloft?s Nitro Racing for an additional content.

The said mobile phone is to be built by Foxconn subsidiary known as FIH. Back in May, FIH bought Nokia?s feature phone business from another huge company, Microsoft. According to reports, it will be distributed in IMEA, PAC, and Europe next year.

More Phones Similar To Nokia 150?

HMD Global previously announced that they would soon release new phones and tablets from the Nokia brand that is powered by Android. Under those circumstances, HMD?s announcement has been heartening news for Nokia brand?s fans. If the recent rumors are proven true, the company might unveil their Android smartphones in late February at Mobile World Congress

According to HMD?s CEO Arto Nummela, the previously announced devices will become available in the first half of 2017. Nummela was a former exec at Nokia and Microsoft and later became HMD?s CEO. Furthermore, the launch of the Nokia 150 will definitely further improve the Nokia feature phones portfolio consisting of bestsellers like Nokia 216, Nokia 230, and Nokia 105.
