Apparently, No Man’s Sky is not everybody?s cup of tea. Players have shown their displeasure in learning that the game is not what they expected from Hello Games. Many reports suggest that disgruntled gamers can get a refund from Steam, Amazon U.S. and Sony. Notably, the original price of the game is $59.99.
No Man’s Sky Refund
Gamers have been complaining in many online forums that No Man?s Sky advertisements and trailers have been misleading all along. If this is not enough, many users took to Reddit and listed down all the promised features that are missing.
Not to forget, the folks behind Hello Games? No Man?s Sky have already rolled out five patches for the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Also, the?widespread crashing issue will soon be fixed by the team in a few weeks,?Inquisitr noted.
Even though Steam is the first one to offer refund for No Man?s Sky, it was accepting the refund request rather silently. However, the word spread like a wildfire. The refund option is real and it has been confirmed not just by Reddit users, but also in?Steam community board.
Steam?s official policy says: ?Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours.?
Reports also suggest that many?No Man?s Sky players realized that they cannot get a refund as they crossed the two hours limit long back. However, as it turns out, upon contacting the customer support they were able to get a refund irrespective of the hours used. But then, later, Steam added a note saying that the exceptions will not be allowed anymore.
Meanwhile,?No Man?s Sky is also losing fans in scores. During the mid of August, the game reportedly had more than 220,000 players. In comparison, it now has about 15,000 players. By no means, it?s a small drop in popularity and reputation.
Sony’s Former?Content Director’s View
Furthermore, we are also hearing that players are trying to get refund from both Sony and Steam. Some have apparently got the refund after playing for 50 hours. Former Strategic Content Director of Sony, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, tweeted the following looking at the issues surrounding the No Man?s Sky refund – “If you?re getting a refund after playing a game for 50 hours you?re a thief.”
