As gamers wait for the official release of the console Nintendo Switch, several games are already expected to be available for the platform. Rumors started when Unreal Engine announced its partnership with the company.
In a tweet posted in October 2016, Unreal Engine officially announced that it is ?thrilled to partner with Nintendo to help Unreal Engine 4 developers bring their games to Nintendo Switch.? Now, in a recent interview with Takayuki Kawasaki, territory manager for Epic Games Japan, he mentioned that gamers should anticipate a lot of titles coming into the console.
Japanese website Social VR Info talked to Kawasaki and he again announced that the Switch is supporting Unreal Engine. As a result, a lot of titles are already expected to be available for the console. The list even includes major titles that already hit the stores and some other new games.
One game that fans should anticipate is Dragon Quest XI. Square Enix already announced last year that the title is using Unreal Engine 4, and it’s possible the gameplay will be similar to the PS4 than the 3DS version.
Meanwhile, Kawasaki also mentioned that he is hoping that through Switch?s arrival, the Japanese console business will pick up more steam. Also, as he announced that there are major games arriving in the console, it certainly suggests that third party developers are supporting their move of using Unreal Engine.
Now, according to a Reddit thread, here are the titles that uses Unreal Engine 4:
- Final Fantasy VII Remake
- Kingdom Hearts 2.8
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Tekken 7
- Let It Die
- 4 Goddesses Online
- Ace Combat 7
- Dragon Quest XI
- Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite
If these games would really arrive on the Nintendo Switch, then the console is really worth buying. How about you? Do you know any other upcoming titles powered by Unreal Engine 4 that will possibly make it to the Nintendo Switch? Share it in the comment section below.?
