The Nintendo NX will be coming out next year, but fans have been wondering if we will see any other games aside from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is also coming out on the Wii U. Well, in an interesting move, Warner Bros recently revealed that their developers would be making games for the next-gen console, so it looks like we can expect Injustice 2 and maybe even Mortal Kombat X.
Seeing Injustice 2 on the NX isn?t that hard to believe, since Injustice: Ultimate Edition was released on the Wii U. It will be interesting to see how this possible version of the game differentiates itself from the PS4 and Xbox One versions coming out next year, since not many details on the NX have been revealed.
While seeing Injustice 2 would be great, we could also see Mortal Kombat X come to the console. After all, an ultimate edition of the game with all of its DLC was recently released for PS4 and Xbox One, which was christened as Mortal Kombat XL.
Aside from these two games and Zelda, there has also been speculation on Cyberpunk 2077 coming to the Nintendo NX. Conversations for this started after CD Projekt Red said plenty of nice things about the console, which has led many to believe that they will be releasing their newest open-world game on it.
It was clear to many a gamer that the biggest flaw of the Wii U was the lack of third-party support. While it did have a number of awesome games like Splatoon and Super Smash Bros, the lack of any other big name games almost doomed the console. While it does have a quality library of games, it is also a small one, and fans can only hope that the NX will have more games than its predecessor. Here?s hoping that the partnership with Warner Bros fixes that.
The Nintendo NX is currently slated for a March 2017 release date, while Injustice 2 is also coming out in 2017. It will be interesting to see what kind of games Warner Bros develops for the system.
