With Christmas fast approaching, the Nintendo NES Classic Edition holiday restock is finally happening. The tiny $60 Nintendo Entertainment System got sold out pretty much everywhere since it debuted on November 11.

Best Buy will be restocking the Nintendo NES Classic Edition on December 20, according to emails spotted by customers. The email originally sent out on December 7 left customers pretty much unconvinced. Best Buy sent out another email confirming the restock and added that the initial email was sent too early.

The NES Classic Edition restock will hit physical Best Buy stores only and as usual, the stock is expected to be limited. A Best Buy blogpost confirmed that the console devices will be sold on a first-come first-served basis. The retailer made it clear that the console will not be available online.

Customers who line up or enter the store will be provided tickets, and the number of tickets will be directly parallel to the number of console units. Furthermore, only one ticket will be provided for each customer. If you are potentially going out looking for an NES Classic, it is recommended that you head out to the store early.

With Christmas only a few days away and none other Nintendo NES restock announcements, expect this to be the last restock for the holidays. Rumors indicate that Best Buy stores will get a minimum of 12 units with some getting more. The great news, however, is that the restock will be available in over 1,000 U.S. stores.

Nintendo Classic fans need not fret in case they miss the Best Buy restock. The Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aim? has assured consumers that there will be enough shipments of the popular holiday gift for the holiday season. The Nintendo executive said that the company widely underestimated the product demand.

Fils-Aim? shared that Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Toys R Us and Walmart will be doing enough restocks for the holiday season. Indeed, next in line NES mini restock is happening for Gamestop, according to Mobilenapps.com.

GameStop said the Nintendo NES Classic stocks will be available in its stores on Thursday and Friday. However, they only have limited stocks so gamers who want to purchase the gadget are urged to call their local GameStop shops now.
