After the release of the somewhat outlandish Nike KD 8 Elite in April, Kevin Durant?s new signature sneaker line, the Nike KD 9, debuts with its inaugural colorway ?Pre-Heat? starting today.
The Nike KD 9 ?Pre-Heat? is released at select Nike retailers on Monday, June 20 and you can buy a pair for $150. This particular colorway on the basketball silhouette was first seen during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
The Nike KD 9 Preheat features a clean, neutral style to kick off the new model with soft grey tone cloaked over the innovative upper. But where the KD 8 boasts a Flyweave build, the KD 9 utilizes the beloved Flyknit, pairing it with a light, breathable mesh around the heel for a light yet supportive fit.
The latest model receives vibrant hits of crimson located on the pull tabs, upper eye stays and full-length translucent sole unit, perfectly offsetting the neutrality of the upper. Finishing touches include metallic silver swooshes gracing its side panels, matching laces and silver lace tips branded with Durant?s signature in gold.
KD?s most advanced signature model yet featuring a Flyknit upper and full-length visible Zoom Air will hit stores in limited quantities in the Pre-Heat colorway on June 20, 2016. Sneakerheads can get their hands on the all new Nike KD 9 Preheat at Nike Basketball accounts nationwide starting Monday. Online retailers will have them at 10 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. PDT.
The ?Pre-Heat? colorway in Wolf Grey, White and Infrared will also lead off the several upcoming colorways of the shoe that will debut later in July. These include Nike KD 9 USA which Durant is expected to wear for the Summer Olympics in Rio and debuts on first of July. Another black and white colorway, the Nike KD 9 Oreo, drops July 9.
