What is Andromeda?
Google is rumored to be working on a new operating system that is said to be a hybrid of Android OS and Chrome OS. This new operating system is codenamed as Andromeda. The mysterious OS is being tested on Nexus 9 tablet.
New 7-inch Tablet Running on Andromeda
After releasing 7-inch Nexus tablets built by Asus in 2012 and 2013, Google has not released a 7-inch device. Google has worked with Huawei in releasing Nexus 6P last year. Earlier this year, there were rumors that both companies were working together in releasing a new 7-inch tablet.

Now, 9to5 Google has reported that both companies are indeed working a new 7-inch tablet. It is pegged to be the first device to come loaded with Andromeda operating system.
Andromeda 7-inch Tablet Specs
The publication has not revealed any details of the rumored 7-inch Andromeda OS powered tablet. However, previous rumors indicate that it will be coming with specs like Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 13-megapixel camera.
