Google Nexus 7 2016 release is imminent as Nexus 6P is sold at a discounted rate online. Rumors are rife that Nexus 7 will be launched soon as Best Buy is offering the Nexus 6P with a $50 price slash. Buyers can purchase the 32GB variant of Nexus 6P at $449.99. Interested customers can buy the device from B&H Photo Video as it offers the handset for the same price, but you can save $75 since the original price of the device is slightly higher compared to other retailers.
The price slash on Nexus 6P hints that the new generation of the device is in line, and the retailers are trying to clear the stock for the upcoming devices. A new report cites that Google Nexus 7 (2016) will be launched soon after Google?s I/O conference, which is scheduled for May. However, another report states quite a contradictory statement.
Yibada notes that Google may launch the Nexus smartphone in October similar to Nexus 6P, which was launched in the same month last year.
According to Ecumenical news, the Google Nexus 2016 sports a 7-inch screen display along with QHD resolution. The device would run on Huawei?s homegrown processor Kirin 950 chipset or NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
Rumors indicate that Google Nexus 7 2016 will be manufactured by HTC, and it will be released in two variants this year. While BGR reports, HTC Vive VR headset support will be provided with HTC 10, which would boost the sales of both the headset and smartphones. Since Nexus 7 is a Google product, it would accompany its own VR device.
However, Google has not made any official statement regarding the release data or its features and specification that would be seen in the rumored Google Nexus 7 2016.
