The Nexus 6P was last year?s high-end flagship smartphone for the Google Nexus project. The smartphone which is manufactured by Huawei has excellent specs and design which is why it is extremely popular. As an added bonus, the Nexus 6P was one of the first smartphones to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Unfortunately, the update appears to have caused an issue with the smartphone?s battery. Now, Google has finally responded to the barrage of consumer complaints about the Nexus 6P battery problem.
Over the past weeks, Nexus 6P users have been complaining about the battery life of their smartphone. Some Nexus 6P devices shut down without warning even though there is still more than 50% of battery life left.
Nexus 6P Battery Problem
The Nexus 6P owners have determined that the issue started after their device received an Android 7.0 Nougat update. Until now though, there appears to be no clear solution to the Nexus 6P battery issue just yet.
One positive thing which has happened recently though is Google finally responding to the countless Nexus 6P complaints. According to Android Headlines, Google took to Reddit to instruct Nexus 6P users affected by the battery issue to contact the Google Store Support team.
Google Store Support Team
This may not be the perfect solution but at least Google is taking steps to remedy the situation. Expect the Google Store Support team to be swamped with calls though which can lead to very long waiting times. The same report cites that one user complained of spending more than one hour on the phone with the Google Store Support team.
Although it is not the quick fix that many Nexus 6P users are hoping for, it is all that they can resort to at the moment. Surely, Google and Huawei are working non-stop to try and figure out a way to solve this problem. Nexus 6P owners though would just need to hang tight and be patient as surely a solution will be had in the near future.
